Covid 19 update - 01.06.2020

Following updated guidance from the Government and the College of Podiatry, we are happy to announce that we are now able to further extend the groups of patients we are able to see for clinic and home visit appointments. The guidance has now extended to cover our general Podiatry low risk patients. However, this still does not mean a return to fully “normal” working. Although we are now able to see a wider group of patients, we are still being advised to manage low risk patients remotely with telephone or email advice where possible. If you fall into this category, you may wish to consider deferring your appointment to a later date as a safer option. All patients must pass Covid-19 screening before an appointment will be offered.

Understandably after 10 weeks of lockdown, we have quite a backlog of patients whose appointments have been postponed. From the 1st June, we will begin contacting all our patients old and new who have either had appointments postponed or enquiries put on hold to offer an appointment should you wish to attend. Please bear with us while we work through the list, it will take time to organise. Priority will be given to those at high risk of developing foot problems, and those whose appointments have been delayed the longest.

Although we are now able to see a wider group of patients, we are still being advised to manage low risk patients remotely with telephone or email advice where possible. If you fall into this category, you may wish to consider deferring your appointment to a later date as a safer option.

At present, our online booking system is not active, as we will need to triage all appointment enquiries. Any enquiries to our reception team will be passed on to our Podiatrists for triage and we will contact you about a possible appointment.

We thank you for your patience and understanding at this time, we will be in contact with everyone as soon as possible.

*For those attending appointments – The number of people we are allowing into the building at any one time is restricted. Please attend your appointment alone where possible. The outer clinic door will be locked between appointments, so please do not arrive too early for your appointment. Please use the parking spaces in front or at the rear of the clinic and wait until your appointment time, when you will be called in by the Podiatrist. Please use the hand gel provided on entry to the building.*

Stay safe and well, and we look forward to seeing you all soon!!
